LARA WILDE

Tenderness, absurdity and other serious matters.

Lara Wilde is a Berlin-based artist rooted in photography, with a tendency to wander off.

Her work moves between raw human emotions and the complexity of the outside world. She has a particular fondness for the strange, fragile and occasionally ridiculous business of being human, and a slightly crooked sadness about the way the world is turning.

She is interested not only in what people reveal, but in what becomes possible when others, often complete strangers, are invited to interfere on their own terms. She creates these conditions in photographic workshops, collaborative projects and situations built for shared authorship.

Her home base is Forderzimmer, Raum für absolute Angelegenheiten, where many of these ideas become physical, public and occasionally unruly.

Lara is a compulsive learner, from unicycling to an accidental Master’s in Psychology to the lifelong project of becoming a wizard of light.

The method changes. The wondering doesn’t.
